Vinicent Clifton Alexander affectionately known as “Gig” was born August 26, 1960, to Garfield and Leada Alexander in Winston-Salem.
“Gig” graduated from Parkland High School Class of 1979. He was the owner of Gig’s Trim Shop in Winston-Salem for many years. Later, he relocated to Durham where he continued his work with car interiors and upholstery. Vinicent was employed at Auto Interiors & Tops while living in Durham.
Vinicent departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 27, 2021, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Vanessa Alexander.
“Gig” will be forever remembered for his love of vehicles, NASCAR, and being a gifted upholsterer for many airlines and custom car designers.
He leaves to cherish his memory are siblings Victor McCray and Vandy Alexander, devoted nephew and niece; Fate Martin, III and Artesha (Richard) Williams, God-sister Alisteen Martin, God-niece Oversia Jones and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
