Trena Pettigrew

Trena Evette Pettigrew, 59, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born on August 3, 1966, and was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem. Trena received her education in the local school system and attended Kennedy High School. She later built a dedicated career in housekeeping within the medical field, where she was known for her hard work, kindness, and steady presence.

Trena enjoyed the simple joys of life—listening to music, watching her favorite stories, relaxing on the porch while taking in the beauty of nature, and collecting unique and meaningful items. She loved spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, conversation, and connection. Traveling brought her great happiness, especially her trips to Las Vegas to visit her son. Her warm spirit, easy smile, and love for life will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Pettigrew; and her siblings Curtis Pettigrew, Sr., Sharon Pettigrew, and Teresa Pettigrew Nelson.

Trena leaves to cherish her memory her children, Reginald Brown, Jr. and Regina Pettigrew; her granddaughter, Adalynn Ward; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
