Richard B Wolfe

Richard Bryant Wolfe, 83, of 4029 Oak Ridge Dr was born to Lela Dendy Wolfe and John Wade Wolfe Sr. in Winston-Salem, NC on January 28, 1940. He graduated from Atkins High School. After graduating Richard continued to work and retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System.

During his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He had a passion for reading books and other interesting articles. Richard was a quiet and humble man who was loved and cherished by his family.

On the early morning of  Wednesday February 22, 2023, Richard Bryant Wolfe passed away at Forsyth Medical Center following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sibling John Wade Wolfe Jr., Phillip Wolfe, Alfred Wolfe, Joseph Wolfe, and Gloria Brown Hemphill.

He is survived by his loving wife Doris Bell Wolfe; children  Carlos (Sharon) Berry of Bellevue, OH, Tracy Wolfe Strickland of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary (Todd) “Peaches” Wolfe-Walker of Winston-Salem, NC, Donald Wolfe of Greenville, SC, and Ronald Wolfe of Greenville, SC; grandchildren Turquoise Wolfe, Kelsey Berry (Daniel) Williams, Kayla Strickland, Samuel Strickland Jr., Shamar Carson, Brandon Wolfe and Emmanuel Walker; eleven great-grandchildren; brother Daniel (Zelma) Wolfe; Sister-In-Law Brenda Bell Barksdale and Christine Wolfe; Brother-In-Law Henry (Bertha) Bell; goddaughters Mary McNeely of Monroe, NC and Antigone (Sean) Wilson of Gastonia, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
