Pedro Aquino Flores, affectionately known as “Tio Pechi” was born February 22, 1964, in San Andres Tzirondaro, Michoacán de Ocampo Mexico to Nestor Flores Pascual and Esperanza Aquino Torrez. He was one of eleven siblings. Pedro came to the United States in August of 1979 at the age of fifteen. As a young adult he loved bicycles. His hobby of tinkering with them and fixing them up bought his lots of joy.
When Pedro was a young child, he had a tragic accident that took most of his eyesight. Even with his hardship of losing most of his sight, he continued to advance himself to accomplish his goals. He worked for the Industries for the Blind, using his skills and talents to the best of his abilities. Outside of his professional career he continued to find enjoyment in spending time with his companion of over 30 years, Lourdes Javier, and his family. He also loved playing with remote control cars, monster trucks, and listening to Mexican music especially from the 80’s.
On the afternoon of Friday June 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family took his heavenly flight home to be with the Lord. Pedro was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Jose, Seferina, Eliodoro, Moises, Hernestina, Ortencia, and Rosa. His absence leaves an empty place in our hearts. Even with heavy hearts we rejoice in knowing he is no longer in pain and has joined his parents and siblings in heaven.
He leaves behind his companion and life partner Lourdes Javier; two sons Juan Flores and Ivan Flores; two brother Antonio Flores and Gustavo Flores, one sister Elisa Medina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
