In Loving Memory of Margaret Ann Logan Duncan
On a crisp autumn morning in York County, South Carolina, on November 1, 1940, Margaret Ann Logan entered the world as a bright spark in the lives of her parents, Eddie and Maggie Logan. From the start, she carried a spirit both tender and unstoppable—a spirit that shaped a beautiful, meaningful life.
Margaret made her home in Thomasville, North Carolina, where she became a beloved presence in the community. Her career in Home Health was more than work; it was her ministry. She cared for others with gentleness, dignity, and a warmth that made people feel truly seen.
She lived life with joyful boldness. Margaret could cast a fishing line like a pro, pick pecans faster than anyone around, and even race cars with fearless confidence. She loved softball, loved helping others, and never hesitated to feed the homeless or support anyone in need. Being a people person wasn’t something she tried to be—it was simply who she was.
Her cooking was unforgettable, her style impeccable, and her presence full of grace and sparkle. As a devoted member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, she served faithfully in the Women’s Club, senior choir, and as a nurse’s aide, living out her faith through kindness and service.
On March 25, 2026, surrounded by love at Wake Forest Medical Center in High Point, North Carolina, Margaret peacefully completed her earthly journey. Though her passing leaves a deep ache, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Amos Duncan; her children Christopher Alexander Duncan, Sr. and Jeremiah (Elisa) Duncan; grandchildren Logan Fleming, Christopher Alexander II, Cameron, Camil, Christian, Catherine, Caden, Brittney, Destiny, and Bailey Duncan; her sister Minnie Ashworth; sisters‑in‑law Sarah D. Leak, Edna D. Gordon, Zona Logan, and Emma D. Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who adored her.
Her life was a gift, her love a blessing, and her memory a light that will continue to shine.
