Mr. Larry M Springs, Sr., 69, of 1330 Brookwood Dr, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Trellis Support Care in Winston-Salem. He was born on February 5, 1951, to Herbert Hailey and Catherine Springs
Larry was the oldest out of five kids. In his childhood, he attended Fairview Elementary, Kennedy Middle School, and Atkins High School. He ran track and played basketball at Atkins High School as well. Everyone who knew him instantly loved him for his humorous nature, calm demeanor, and random fun-filled outburst.
He was a major force and his love for his family was enormous and unmatched. Especially for his grandkids. He always lived with the principles of taking care of your family and never to worry because what is meant to happen will. Larry worked at Americraft Carton and retired as a manager at Bethesda Center for the Homeless.
In his spare time, he spent as much time as possible with his grandchildren, family, and friends. Larry enjoyed fishing, watching sports as well as reading. He especially loved to read his bible. He was a diehard Lakers, Cowboys, and UNC Tarheels fan.
He is survived by his loving children Kristopher Gwynn, Delithia Lisa Springs-Jordan, Keonard Gwynn, Larry Springs Jr., Tia Koumou-nette, Brian Springs, Nicorya Springs, Pierre Springs; grandchildren, Breylen Jordan, Eden Jordan, Jackson Jordan, Kristian Gwynn, Krissie Gwynn, Kristopher Gwynn Jr., Antonio Gwynn, Lashea Boyd, Keonard Gwynn Jr., Piper Payne, Alexander Springs, Emory Springs, Aveah Koumou-nette, Xola Koumou-nette, Jecori Springs, Jelon Springs, Jaceon Springs, Jeriya Springs; siblings Veronica Springs, Audrey Springs, Rance Springs, Carolyn Springs; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
