Obituary

But I would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which, who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Mr. Lamont Daryl Parker, age 52, was born on Thursday, December 10th, 1970 to Ms. Lora Parker and Mr. Larry Fulp. Lamont transitioned from his earthly house to his eternal home, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Becoming absent from the body, but now, into the presence of the Lord. Lamont’s early growth in the church created a passionate love for the Lord and faith. It also imbedded a great love that shaped kindness and compassion for others.

Lamont was a West Forsyth High School graduate, where he played football.  Lamont’s work ethics spanned over the years into various arenas that he graced with lasting experiences, friendships and memories.

His first real job after graduating was at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, and later, other arenas and him ending up at the City of Winston Salem.

Lamont was an avid sports fan and his professional football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers! He was already hyped about this upcoming season.

Lamont was a very extraordinary people person. After hearing recently  from many of his best friends, we know that he loved people in general, and he loved hard.  He was also loved back immensely.

He prided himself in all subject matters and was an amazing negotiator and great when it came to bringing peace in a chaotic situation. He did not meet any strangers, was very kind, genuine and had the ability to make others feel valued.

His love for his mother was phenomenal. They were attached at the hips. He loved his children and family deeply. Lamont’s very passionate and fervent conversations with people who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him, always left feeling uplifted.

Lamont was predeceased by his infant son, Isaiah Denard; his father, Larry D. Fulp; his maternal grandparents, Willie Albert and Viola Parker; his paternal grandparents; and his brother/cousin Dareiss L. Pollard.

Left to carry on Lamont’s great legacy in life are his amazing children whom he deeply loved:  Jaquan, Naquay, Christian, Joshua and Zion; his mother, Ms. Lora Parker (Charles); 2 brothers, Brandon Butterfield and Larry Fulp Jr.; his very special lady, Tiarra; special cousin/Sister, Lady Tameka Johnson; cousin/brother, Minster Robert Pollard Jr. (Eva); special uncle. Willie Parker; special aunt/mother, Pastor Sharon Pollard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends
