Kenneth Wideman Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Barnard Wideman, affectionately known as “Kenny,” was born January 12, 1963 to Johnny Brown and Mary Wideman in Winston-Salem, NC. He passed away Monday June 3, 2024 at Ridge Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation in Wilksboro, NC.


“Kenny” graduated from RJ Reynolds High School Class of 1982, and was an avid football player during high school. With his love for sports, his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and the 76ers.


“Kenny” worked in construction for many years. When he was not working, he enjoyed being with his family. Kenneth leaves to cherish most dear and precious memories to his daughters, LaCoya (LeConte’) Carter and Cherrelle Cooper; sons, Kenneth Wideman, Jr., Jordan Cooper and Kejuan West, Sr.; grandchildren, Yasmine, Arianna, Jada Lee, Kejuan, Jr., Jamere and Ana’Dge; siblings, Valerie Wideman, Deborah Carrigan, Phillip Wideman, Mark Anthony Wideman and Donald Carrigan; a devoted niece, Demetrius Mayo; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of floral arrangements the family request that non-perishable items and can goods be donated to the New Zion Baptist Church Food Bank Ministry.
