Charles Earl Davis was born on February 21, 1960 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Eugene and Laugenia Davis. He attended Winston Salem Forsth County Schools and served in the US Army. Charles had a passion for cooking. He was a lead cook at various hotels and resturants until his health would not allow him to continue. He had an infectious sense of humor and loved talking and meeting new people.
Charles attended Grace United Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Ricky Wilson. He really enjoyed being a part of the men’s fellowship ministry. Charles attended church faithfully until his health would not allow him to attend at times.
Charles Earl Davis quietly transitioned from his earthly home on July 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Laugenia Davis and siblings, Joel, Bobby and Ygenia Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughter Tamara Barkley and grandson Zacarias Freeman who were both the joy of his life. Siblings are Robert Davis of Detroit, Michigan, Ernest Davis, Deloris Peguese, Olia Kennedy (Willie) and Leroy Davis (Pearlie) of Winston Salem.
A special thanks to two devoted friends; Mrs. Develyn Heilig a true sister in Christ who was always there to help Charles, his daughter and grandson and Ms. Dorothy Green a neighbor who always shared her Sunday dinners with him.
