Anthony Lamont Wheeler, referred to as “Ant” by close family and friends, transitioned on Friday, March 31, 2023. Anthony was born in Winston Salem, NC, on August 21, 1970, to Franklin E. Wheeler Sr and Eadie M. Wheeler.
“Ant” attended WSFCS and graduated from Carver High School in 1988. In August 2001, he received a certificate from Stanly Community College in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration. He went on to work for numerous employers. He had a passion for working on computers and programming computer software.
Throughout his life, Ant was known for his love for music. He played the saxophone, piano, and keyboard. Some of his hobbies included being an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, fishing, playing chess, traveling, listening to Canton Spirituals, and spending time with his grandsons in the last few years.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Eadie M. Wheeler, and son, Anthony L Wheeler, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Franklin E. Wheeler, Sr.; daughter, LaQuanda Nicole Scales; siblings, Franklin E Wheeler Jr, Angela A Wheeler, Christopher M Wheeler; two grandsons, Cashton Ali Scales, and Richton Billionaire CeQuan Scales; four special friends, Warren Glenn, Jeremiah Johnson, Ken Venable, and Amanda Morrison. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be tremendously missed!
